Chicago T-10 & CCYC Offshore Fleet Winter Seminar Series #2 -SAIL TRIM
Saturday, February 25, 2023, 9 a.m. to Noon
Racing season is just over the horizon. Tuning up to do well on the race course means having the knowledge to choose and shape your sails optimally. We are presenting racer and sailmaker, Andy Camarda, of Evolution Sails, to talk about water- and airfoil efficiency and to discuss with attendees what issues for which they have questions. Part of this will involve rig tune and racing tactics as they intersect with changing sail set on the race course. New materials in line and sail cloth mean that what you thought you knew may be out of date. Let’s get together and go over those curved surfaces above, and below, the waterline.
